Best Dentist in Toronto

Looking for the best dentist in Toronto?

Maybe going to the dentist is not the appointment you look forward to most in life but it is a very important one. Choosing the right dentist for you is just as important, especially if they are not always your favourite people to visit.

There are hundreds of dentists practicing in the GTA which makes the choice even harder. So where to begin your search? Well, after pouring through a slew of patient reviews and feedbacks, as well as some in person research, we have compiled this list of the best dentists in Toronto to help get your search started.

Best Dentists in Toronto

rto’s Pick: Top 5 Best Toronto Dentists

720 King West Dental

720 King Street W, Toronto, ON M5V 2T3. Phone number (416) 703-6408

Led by Dr. Jermaine Hao, patients of this practice feel that it truly lives up to its tagline, which is ‘Your friendly neighbourhood dentist’. As the practice will treat everyone from toddlers (three and up) to seniors 720 King West dental is an excellent choice for those looking for a dentist for the whole family and also for those who have a fear of such things, as Dr Hao is highly praised for his ability – and willingness – to educate without being overly judgmental (in other words you won’t get a shouting at for not flossing enough, just a gentle reminder of why you should.)

The practice offers a full range of services, from emergency dental treatment to more complex tooth restoration and cosmetic procedures.  They also employ a staff known for their friendliness, patience and knowledge, all bonuses in dental practice most people are looking for.

Janice Goodman & Associates

600 Sherbourne Street, Suite 815, Toronto, ON M4X 1W4. Phone number (416) 928-0189

Dr Goodman has been in practice in Toronto for over 30 years and some patients are now third generation to the practice, which is perhaps enough of an endorsement on its own. However a large staff of hygienists, a discount system for those without insurance and a focus on providing excellent customer service as well as great patient care help cement the practice’s excellent reputation as well.

The practice is also a good choice for those who need more extensive dental work but are – as many of us are – terrified of anesthesia, needles and pain. That is because this is one of the few practices in Toronto that employs the The Wand needle free anesthesia system which is a lot less scary.

Metropolitan Dental

101 College St, Toronto, ON M5G 1L7. Phone number (416) 348-0000

For many having a dentist located close to where they work is an important factor in their choice and so this practice’s location in the Discovery District is perfect for some. Also the fact that this is a multi-dentist practice is a selling point for some, as we all have preferences (older, younger, cosmetic specialist etc.) and those can be catered to here.

Metropolitan Dental does offer emergency dental services but the focus is placed squarely on preventative dental care and cosmetic procedures like the popular Zoom Bleaching System. The practice has also gained a reputation for being great with the more nervous, dentistphobic patients which for some of us is the most important thing of all.

Bite Dental

106 Mutual Street, Toronto, ON M5B 2R7. Phone number (416) 777-2483

A family dentist in the middle of the Downtown Core is not easy to find but that is exactly what this multi dentist practice is, with several dentists on staff specializing in different areas of dental medicine to ensure that every patient gets just the right care.

The customer service aspect is highly praised as well. Appointments can be made via text message, highly convenient for busy people and a higher than usual knowledge of insurance billing practices on the part of the office staff is also greatly appreciated by many.

Rosedale Family Dental Care

600 Sherbourne Street, Toronto, ON M4X 1W4. Phone number (416) 964-9070

website: www.archerdental.ca

Making scared, apprehensive patients feel more comfortable about visiting the dentist is a specialty of this predominantly female led practice as is dealing with older patients, although the practice caters to patients of all ages, from toddlers on up.

The practice also embraces what they term holistic dentistry, the practice of offering advice about every aspect of oral health and how it impacts overall health, a difference that many patients find very refreshing.

Dr Archer and her team are extremely competent and professional. She is very attentive to a patient’s well being and sensitivity.

All of the above 5 dentists are very good, I’m sure, but I would like to add another one: Dr. Lisa Lindström – Dentistry on the Avenue. 315 Avenue Road (just north of Davenport), Toronto, ON, M4V 2H2, (416.926.0123). Dr. Lindström is an excellent neighbourhood dentist who provides cosmetic, implant & family dentistry in a warm, welcoming & worry free environment to patients of all ages. She is noted for her gentle, caring & compassionate chair-side manner and always considers her patient’s comfort as her first priority. She has been practicing dentistry for over 20 years in the GTA, the last 4 years at her modern digital Avenue Rd location, and is dedicated to helping patients maintain their oral health. She’s worth a look.
